Chuck George, Jennie Grabel will host event
After emceeing last week's Moda Provocateur fashion show, a fundraiser for the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation, the meteorologist for KOLD is getting ready to do the same for next weekend's disAbled Divaz Fashion Show, a fundraiser for the Aurora Foundation. His co-host will be Jennie Grabel from radio station KWMT (92.9-FM) The Mountain.
The show, in conjunction with the Tucson Design College, will feature models with a variety of disabilities wearing clothes provided by local shops. And fashion students from the Tucson Design College will uncover designs created for the Divaz models.
The event, which includes dinner, begins at 6 p.m. next Saturday. It's at the Marriott University Park, 880 E. Second St. Tickets are $50 in advance; $65 at the door. Call 888-3402 for reservations or more information.
